  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and access times, which are automatically logged when you visit our website.

3. Purpose of Data Processing

Your data is used for the following purposes:

  • Contract Fulfillment: Manufacturing your individual gear, performing engraving services, and processing your order.
  • Communication: Sending order confirmations, shipping updates, and technical inquiries regarding your specifications.
  • Logistics: Processing payments and shipping your goods (including customs documentation for international shipping).
  • Legal Obligations: Compliance with statutory accounting and tax retention requirements.

4. Payment Processing and Currency Conversion via Stripe

For the processing of payments (Credit Cards, TWINT, Apple Pay, Google Pay), we use the service provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.

  • Data Transfer: During the payment process, your payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe. TOUGH LOOPS does not store sensitive card information.
  • Currency Conversion Policy: Our checkout process is conducted strictly in Swiss Francs (CHF). Any conversion from your local currency (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP) into CHF is handled directly by Stripe or your card-issuing financial institution. This conversion is subject to the terms, conditions, and exchange rates of Stripe or your bank. TOUGH LOOPS has no influence over these rates or any additional conversion fees.

5. Use of YayCurrency Plugin

We use the YayCurrency plugin to provide estimated price displays in various currencies (e.g., USD, EUR) for your convenience while browsing. This tool uses your IP address briefly to determine the appropriate currency display. No personal data is permanently stored by this plugin.

6. Disclosure to Third Parties

Your data is only shared with third parties as necessary to fulfill our contract with you:

  • To shipping carriers (e.g., Swiss Post, DHL, Fedex) for the delivery of your hardware.
  • To our payment provider Stripe (as detailed in Section 4).
  • To our hosting provider for the operation of the website.

7. Data Retention

We store your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the order or as required by Swiss law (generally 10 years for accounting records). Customization data (such as logos) is deleted after the order is completed unless otherwise agreed.
